Regrouping
What to do?
One week after returning to reality and oh, my God! What to do? Work consumed my time and I only got to the gym twice, I think. Then, the water main broke at school and we had to use porta potties; so naturally, I drastically reduced my water consumption. The food part wasn't so hard, until tonight, when I just felt so wiped-out from 6-7 hours of sleep a night, all I wanted to do was eat! I'm not giving up, I'm just saying I need to regroup. I need to figure this out!
I am obviously not an expert (since I have failed myself), but is there a way to make yourself accountable to get to the gym. I have to plan my gym time just like my food. Do you have someone to meet you at the gym?
Thanks, Shelli, but I do plan it. Google even reminds me of when it's time to leave. It's just that I'm so stubborn, when it comes to work. I love what I do and I get hyper-focused on it ... sort of OCD about finishing a certain amount of stuff. Like I said, I'm regrouping this weekend. I'll come up with something. Stay tuned ;)
((hugs)) Our never ending battle for health and fitness..ugh! I feel your pain. I made a decision, no more than 2 days away from a workout. I feel very strongly if I make myself accountable that way I can stay on track. Its my new rule for 2011 (since I totally screwed that up in 2010). I think the best thing is to do it first thing in the morning regardless of how early I have to get up, then its done and out of the way. Whatever the day brings my way after that, at least I can say I got my workout in. Hang in there you can do it!!
I agree with the first thing in the morning workout. That worked best for me up to 4 years ago when I was still married. Now it is kinda hard to leave my daughter home in bed, while I go workout. :) Guess you are way ahead of me on thoughts of how to fix it. I am fixing it by putting my daughter in swimming lessons in the gym so I HAVE to get there. And then I add in a training apt, so I am in the gym no less than 3 times per week. Look forward to hearing your thoughts. I am having trouble with planning food, gym, and homework!
